Happy Holidays

Now that the hustle & bustle of the start of the holiday season has slowed down.  I can concentrate on the important things again.   Thanksgiving was fun but stressful.  On Thursday my whole family (minus sister and her DH) ate dinner together.  On Friday, my soon to be DH and I braved the crowds and did our Christmas shopping.  He is completely finished and I only have one more person to buy for....him.  On Saturday my cousin got married.  It was nice. 

I do have pictures of everything that I will post tonight.  (Posting at work right now).  My pictures include all of my UFOs, my proud finished purse, and my embarrassing stash.  My stash is embarrassing because it is so small.  Until my wedding is paid for I am on a budget and cannot build the stash up like I would like.

Seams Like

Oh it "seams" like my UFO's will never change to a new status, my knitting abilities will never expand & my dreams of achieving a knitting title other than beginner will never change.  From the advice of my sister I have created a blog.  The sole purpose of my blog is to gain help & insight on my knitting.  And tonight, I definetely need help.

Who would have thought I person could have such evil thoughts & disdain for a sock?  I feel that socks may not be my thing.  I find them difficult to knit.  But I actually cannot say that.  I have not knitted an entire sock--only the leg.  It's time start the heel.  It has been time to start the heel for a month now.  I just can't figure it out.  Although I will not surrender defeat, I will probably not knit another pain.

What I will make again is a purse.  I am a beginner and I have taken on an ambitous project.  For my third project, I decided to make a purse.  My first two projects were scarves.  Scarves that only required a knit stitch.  So I am making a purse. It is an adjusted pattern from 25 Knitted Bags.  It requires changing colors, stitches, binding off in the middle then casting back on.  But I am proud to say in six more rows I will be finished and only will need to sew up the seams.  I have been able to sew since high school so finishing this should be an easy task.
